Privacy at The Pull
Prepared October 10, 2026
The Pull is operated by Chris Pagliocca in the United States. Contact paglioccachris@gmail.com about privacy, access to your information, corrections, or deletion. Membership is for adults 18 and older.
What we collect and why
- Your email and sign-in information are handled through Google Firebase Authentication for account access, email verification and password recovery. Your email is not displayed to other members.
- We store your username, optional biography, adult declaration, handbook acceptance and account creation time to provide membership. Your username is your community name; a real name is not required.
- We store discussions, replies, message requests, messages, contact preferences and blocks to run the community. Bookmarks and prayer acknowledgments are personal records.
- We store reports, the selected reported material, moderation decisions, appeals and account closure requests to address concerns and administer accounts.
- Activity counters and timestamps enforce posting and messaging limits. Service providers may process connection information such as IP addresses and technical logs to operate and protect their services.
Who can see information
Signed-in members can see community usernames, biographies and visible forum contributions. Conversations are restricted to their participants in the app. Reporting sends the selected message, request, post or profile material and your explanation to staff. Staff do not have a browse-all-inboxes feature.
The operator and authorized infrastructure administrators can access stored data through administration tools when necessary to operate, secure or support the service. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Recipients may copy or report what you send. Avoid including another person’s identifying details or sensitive information you do not want shared.
Providers, storage and browser storage
Google Firebase provides authentication and database services. The community database is configured in the United States. Accessing the service from another country involves transferring information to these services. Provider operations may involve other locations under their own terms.
The site uses browser storage for sign-in. The site code does not initialize Google Analytics, advertising trackers or payment services. We do not sell personal information or use community content for targeted advertising.
Keeping and removing information
Account information and contributions remain while your account is active unless removed through moderation or a data request. Closing an account stops participation immediately and records a request for the owner to process; it does not instantly erase stored information.
Chris handles deletion personally. Email from your registered address, or use My account → Close my account and request deletion. We aim to review and respond within 30 days. We may need to verify that the request is yours. We will explain what was removed and whether anything needs to be kept, and why. Please do not send a password or identity documents.
Requests may concern the sign-in account, profile, posts, messages and related records. Shared discussions, other members’ contributions, reported material, security records or legal obligations may affect what can be removed. We will explain exceptions rather than promise that every copy disappears. Copies held by recipients or outside the service are beyond our control. No scheduled database backups are currently enabled.
Your choices
You can edit your biography, turn new message requests off, block contacts, report concerns, close your account, and email the owner about access, correction or deletion. Use email if you cannot sign in or your account is restricted. You may have additional rights where you live; contact us to raise a request or concern. This notice does not limit applicable rights.
Children and sensitive stories
The Pull does not accept members under 18. If you believe an underage person has an account, report it or contact the owner. Please do not post medical records, identity documents, financial details, precise locations or identifiable stories about someone else. Prayer requests can be brief and non-identifying.
Changes and contact
Material changes will be posted with an updated date. Contact Chris at paglioccachris@gmail.com with questions. The site is not an emergency service and is not continuously monitored.
